Women at the top
Dutch union lady Agnes Jongerius proposes a mandatory women-quote for public companies per 2020. Fourty percent of every publicly traded NV’s board should be female. I happen to agree.
Never mind the cheap puns. It’s important to have women at the top, if only for the catastrophically bad decisions men usually take. You think a woman would have invented napalm?
The Netherlands currently rank somewhere at the bottom (with Botswana just above us) with regards to women at the top. Face it, Holland is incredibly lagging behind just about every country. In Norway these quotes are in place and they work. Imagine that! No women at the top prior, and after the quote they can suddenly be found after all. Wel duh.
I look forward to a country ruled by women. For starters, I don’t think hope they won’t be vengeful for all the shit in the past centuries us men have inflicted. Oops. Second, I hope they will inject a little feeling and love into businesses and governments.
