My Adobe apps are bugging me and I regret ever having purchased them. I will make sure not to purchase one of their slow proggies ever again.
Let me explain. I do a little web publishing now and then. Often this involves playing with images. Just small touches, crops, color filters, nothing fancy. I bought Adobe Fireworks to handle this. And it does work.
But at least once every month the program is bugging me with software updates I don’t need and I don’t want. Adobe Bridge? Adobe Reader? I do not use these programs and I do not want to update them. But strangely enough they are on my system. Assholes. I didn’t ask for those proggies! I don’t wanna update them either!
But this “helpful” updater always bugs me when I am in the middle of using their program, exactly at the same time I don’t want to be bothered. Especially not with some fucking model dialog that steals focus. And least of all with a back-ass updater process that needs to close my running apps!! Wtf!! 1997 called and they want their InstallShield back!
Idiots at Adobe have presumably never heard of Unix, let alone the frameworks that have come standard with Finder since, oh, 1984 or so. So during this helpful updater I also need to close Fireworks (handy when I am editing images), Reader (wtf? It’s not open) and Safari too for good measure. Fuck!! My web browser?
What a bunch of retards. I hate them. And I will never buy their products again.
